Dviger Stake Wall Needs Tweaks
My first issue is the cost in mats, 8 iron an 8 yggdrasil wood makes this this item then most expensive wall in the game if I'm not mistake. In fact, it would cost less iron to just cover the same amount of surface area with an Iron wall.

My second issue is functionality. Dviger Stake Walls rot when partially submerged in water, and the yggdrasil wood does not drop if structure is destroyed after period of time has elapsed (only tested in the meadows). Conceptually this makes sense, wood and iron be like that, but for the cost, and the intention of the structure ( a defensive object) to further limit its utility like that makes it a practically useless. It should also be noted that a normal stake wall, and the Dvegr sharp stakes do not rot when partially submerged, so this feature lacks internal consistency among similar structures with similar constituent components.

My Suggestion, reduce the cost of the recipe for the structure by 50%, fix the bug that prevents the yggdrasil wood from dropping, and tweak the attributes so the Dviger Stake Wall does not rot when submerged.

Gotta agree. Sounds pretty lame.

Yeah, that's bad.
Haven't build dverg stakewall due to massive costs.

Way too expensive involving materials that can't be regained reliably forcing the player to explore more mistlands due to said trees not dropping any seeds. Yea it's bad design.

It should cost a single iron and 4 of the wood and it should NOT rot in the rain.

The rain rotting seems like a bug/oversight, but the recipe cost is insane. Really, 8 freakin iron for a single wall section? Outrageous.

also you need to craft multiple of this and the cost just doesnt make sense

+1, especially when you can build dvergr spikes for 2 iron.

Those spikes do the same super low damage as the first spike trap, which is useless at that point in the game. Why are traps and walls balanced so poorly? Hell, you even have ballista that will shoot at you!

Yggdrasil wood being infused with magic shouldn't rot. Also I think either trap should drop it's full resources or require a resource that would be fine to lose.

Normal spikes could use like 1 wood and 1 resin that would be lost on destruction of said trap.

Deverger spikes it could be 2 wood and 2 linen thread since flax can be easily regrown.

I hope they at least have better durability. They do seem to give back the iron on destruction, so that's something. Or maybe it's one of my mods breaking something... 😅.

we are missing some dvergr strucutres still anyway and when theyll add these and the black forge upgrades theyll fix these stake walls probaly.

till then just make black marble walls instead. looks better anyway.

+1. A lot of things are half-baked in Mistlands update.
