Server devcommands[valheim.thunderstore.io]
Updated just a couple of weeks ago. Just remember that the game is still being worked on - any given mod could break on any given update and IG/CS has no responsibility on making sure they stay compatible.
Thank you. Now to go down the rabbit hole of figuring out how to add this to the server.
For most of the devcommands, you only need it client-side. It only needs to be applied to the server for devcommands that deal with time/timing and raid events.
Though, yeah, reading the directions is always a good idea in general anyways.
So I've done a bit of research and still can't really figure out how to get it on the server. Is there a simple solution to doing that? I assume I download the file and drop it into a specific folder on the server?
EDIT: Would that also require putting BepInEx on the server?
into here:
\Valheim dedicated server\
so it becomes:
\Valheim dedicated server\BepInEx
Yes, BepinEx provides the framework that allows mods to patch into Unity-based games and servers (like Valheim) and is a prerequisite for most such mods.
do you know if adding a friend to the admin list and installing this mod will give them permission to use admin commands as well? ex spawning things in or flying?
devcommands like people say dont work on the dedicated server but you can still cheat on dedicated server any one can cheat, - when you make a char it can move from server with you so you just have a char you start a new game with that char then you enable devcommands as single player you cheat add what ever you want put it in your inventory then log out and log into the dedicated server you want to play on. dump items into your chest then repeat.
the chars you make are not tied to server they are created on client machines so thats why you can move every thing from server to server and form single player to server.
this games system makes it impossible to keep cheaters out if you for most part unless you only allow people u know and trust into your dedicated games by passwords.
but yes you can cheat on dedicated servers.
just fact that you do not earn stuff on server your playing on but able to move that stuff over in way is a cheat.
