Trophy drop rate (Fenring)

I ve killed like 100 of them already, and i could not find a trophy. Are they removed from the game? I just want to craft that fish bait from it. Is this normal?

they're a rare drop and it has about a 10% chance to drop according to this source. so just keep trying lmao

I'm so glad I made a ton of bait when this was still tied to the ulvs. The choice of an omega rare trophy for this seems highly questionable.

Even worse is. I found a underground lake like half a year ago and I can't remember where it is. Have still never seen a tetra fish. Luckily there is no real reason to need one beyond collecting all the things.

This is rather stupid . i found a mountain with a few frost lakes and tetra fish . Must have killed 50 Fenrings the last 10 nights on same mountain without a single trophy . 10 % it says in wiki....

collecting them all is needed for the hat, which helps fishing but isn't necessary.
that aside there is, or was, a map seed with tetra not far from the spawn in point if you want to just get one. You can probably get one hand-caught without bait from it.

Yeah, Fenring trophies are very rare. Their drop is insulting. A wolf fang? That's it. With the addition of the Frost Caves they should've added Fenris hair to the drop table IMO. Rancid Remains trophy is also a very rare drop.

Finally, just got one after trying another mountain . it was painfull hunting waiting for night everytime . Must have taken 60 fenrings .

enemies with stars seem to drop trophies at a higher rate. so hunting at night increases the chance of higher stars. I think...don't hold me to that.

fenrings only appear at night afaik . the reason it was painful was the couple of starred wolves ganged up on me while hunting. nothing I could do

Fenrings only come out at night (and don't have starred versions currently), so that's kind of moot.

there was only starred fenrings and cultists during raids

It's definitely not 10%, it's probably more like 1%. I killed about 250 fenrings and got 2 trophies.
