if you plan to melee, you won't need so much, take bow and 2 stacks of arrows.
silver shield should be upgraded to max.
your armor is low and if you melee she will hurt you badly. You should be in all wolf upgraded armor. fenris and troll armor have very low armor values, even iron set was better. Fenris is only useful if using the associated fist weapons not an iron mace.
Basically you have set yourself up armor wise to do a ranged kill, so 2 bows and 4-5 stacks of needle arrows are your go-to, and then its just bob&weave while shooting.
If you're going primarily with archery, then Needle, obviously. Poison arrows can potentially do more damage [26 Pierce+52 Poison versus 62 Pierce], but the DOT aspect of poison will require sticking with a slow rate of fire (otherwise the poison can end up being rather wasted), which, of course, is not a recommended plan. If you have a limited supply of Needle arrows, then I would say Obsidian for your backup arrows.
If you get hit as an archer, just stop getting hit. Getting hit as an archer is a choice. Their are no excuses for that sort of behaviour.
My preferred method is to simply make a hiding spot at the edge/under the alter that I can duck into when she takes flight and hop out when she lands to jab her with the silver sword a few times. It goes pretty fast that way. Much faster than shooting a million arrows.
If she doesn't see you in the hole, she shouldn't shoot the ice crystals at you, but if she catches a glimpse, she'll likely destroy your cover, so it is best to have one or two backups.
And thank you all!
Have now made chest and leg pieces of wolf armor and will farm for some more needles before attempting to bring down her. With the preparation ahead it will take some time to fortify 2-3 teleports for spawning in. I believe that the one below her altar will be crucial as it will draw her to it when/if teleporting away to repair, regen sumthing as she will camp at that location and hopefully not destroy my other teleports, leaving me free to enter and engage at my leasure.
Damn, I feel my pulse raising already
Step one is to cover the whole place with workbenches and level the ground as much as possible
nothing just do it, and if u dies isn't terrible, as you can use teleport, loock her weakness
I wonder how a few ballistas would help...
Made full stacks of obsidian and needle arrows. More meads are brewing and going to make another bow once I have raided the swamps for materials even if one fully upgraded bow should be enough for couple hundred arrows?
2 stacks of fire arrows as a backup should finish the job and they light her up nicely if the fight goes well into night.
This sounds like a plan and going to wear full set of wolf armor tho I'm not too confident as remembering her to be one though cookie in melee.
Sadly I don't yet have access to that technology but it would have been interesting to kite Moder and let ballistas shoot her down.
Will try to circle her in melee and try this out even if it would result in a not so great battle experience but a victory is a victory and I'll take it
So much to do, so much to prepare but happily spend this time for not to die miserably
