Mistless Mistlands

Just in case anyone is curious what it looks like, here are some screenshots for you.

I'm playing on a seed I started before the update, and this section of Mistlands was already explored. The devs were dead wrong about previously visited Mistlands areas not changing, but only the landscape and spawns were added. No trees, roots, marble, dungeons, etc. And no mist! It's actually a rather pretty biome, imho.

Downside of the change is that my nice little portal stop was suddenly hovering over top of a deep lake. It was quite a challenge escaping from the area and retrieving enough materials for a portal to safety.

In my seed there are three Mistlands biomes that I visited before the update. All three still look the same with the spooky trees and spider webs and giant skulls. But now there are seekers, seeker soldiers, gjalls, rabbits, and Dvergr there. I like it because it adds variety to my world with these three quasi-Mistlands biomes, and it's creepy seeing the gjalls floating through the haunted forest and the seekers buzzing around. I saw someone on Twitch with a pre-update Mistlands that looks like yours. It's pretty desolate without the rocky textures added to the hills and without the trees.

Hurm, That looks like a great place to build a shroom farm; the two new farmables only grow in mistland soil and that second picture has a lovely large block of cultivatable land.

Bear in mind, hostile mobs attack juvenile shrooms on site, but will ignore mature shroom

I've been struggling to find a good broad patch of land, but so far have a nice patch where I can plant 35 of each, which is pretty solid since they give 3 with each harvest. at least it's within spitting distance of three roots I can tap.

So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
