The Queen drops pink placeholder cubes as proof of this.
Just because she is a pain to deal with atm doesn't mean she will stay that way.
For me the tower shield works very fine blocking seekers.
Granted this will probably take 100 or so arrows (haven't bothered to try with the crossbow), but it is a safe spot. She *might* be able to spit poison at you but you should be absolutely fine if you drink a poison res potion. Through my testing you are too high above her to get hit with anything which is nice.
The seekers that spawn will be able to get to you though, as they can fly and access any location in the arena apart from the entrance.
It's an annoying trend in boss fights in a lot of games. Time to fight the boss...and it's respawning army! At least in most boss fights that use this cheap trick, they'll spawn the adds in waves, and after you defeat them you can go back to attacking the boss. But not in Valheim. As soon as you kill the adds, a fresh batch immediately respawn.
My biggest problem fighting her solo was she spawns so many mobs that I spent half the fight with my atgeir out killing baby seekers so that i could actually get back in melee range. With a partner, my partner could clear spawns while i hit Queen, but solo the entire fight was just crowd control
Then my rested buff ended and it became even more of a chore. However, of my three viable weapons (mistwalker, himmen afl, jotun bane), only himmen afl dropped below 50% durability, and no I'm not using mods to get the locked t3/t4 variants.
I wouldn't even scale the Queen for solo, I'd reduce either the frequency or size of the mobs she spawns. I actually like the knockback, and i think the reason she has it is to kill players who didn't build a feather cape. That's also why she has a massive lair instead of being outside: Devs wanted a few specific mechanics to make the fight not just stand still and fight. Dodge-roll her attacks to avoid knockback. Bring two mistwalkers in case one breaks (or a blackmetal sword), and complain to the devs about how frequent mobs spawn against solo players.
i wish i would be so optimistic
