How to "Snap" Plant?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2904956952

As you can see in the image, I was able to plant freely, planting in any distance between each item, but at some point I wasn't able to plant freely anymore, I was forced to follow the game's pattern... If you look at the Glow Mushroom and Cloud Berries, you'll see they started freely and then become forced. The Thistle and Mushroom was snapped...

After seeing how beautiful the farming is by planting snapping, I want to keep planting snapping. I didn't complete the Mushroom neither the Thistle because I want to keep planting in the same distance to make it nice to see. Some other plants I didn't start to plant for the same reason.

The thing is... I don't know how to swap between free planting and snap planting... There's an alternative placement option, but changes nothing, I don't even know why this is here, it simply doesn't work.

Any idea to change that besides using this dysfunctional option?

Yes, shift is this alternative placement option, but it doesn't work.

Shift doesn't actually do anything with the Cultivator.

The only way I know of to get it to snap like that without having to randomly hit a beneficial bug is to use a mod, either FarmGrid[valheim.thunderstore.io] or the GridAlignment option in ValheimPlus[valheim.thunderstore.io].

Yeah, FarmGrid is great, it's what I want.

I'm gonna assume the bug that allows me to snap plant is the same bug that ♥♥♥♥♥ everything when building (I opened a thread about it), but I have no idea how to replicate it, so it's pure luck to get bugged again.

The difficulty here is that this is a mod issue. You cannot plant mushrooms or cloudberries in Vahleim (vanilla). So this "snap" feature is either a feature of the mod or a bug caused by the mod because, again, not something Valheim does.

Has the mod been updated to work with the current version of Valheim? Mods are notorious for "breaking" when game updates come out.

You might have a better chance of finding a solution by asking on the discussion pages for whichever mods you are using.

Just a guess ... but whichever mod is causing this issue may be causing your construction issue as well.

I was gonna ask if the game make more plants farm-able now, as they speak like it is totally vanilla...

This is a mod issue. Ask the mod developer. You can't snap plants in vanilla valheim.

Yes, we can, I did it and showed with images. I just don't know HOW to do it, it seems it's a bug, but even if it's a bug, it's programmed into the game.

There is no plant snapping in vanilla, it's literally a mod issue.

I hate to beat a dead horse but:
1) You CANNOT snap plants in Valheim unless you are using some kind of mod.
2) You CANNOT plant mushrooms or cloudberries in Valheim unless you are using some kind of mod.

Thus is it clear from your comments and screenshots you are using a mod.

Therefore it's not a "bug" for "Valheim" to fix. You need to figure out which mod you installed that is doing this and address the issue with the mod developer (as pointed out by Tiom).

Yeah, I'm playing in a dedicated server, my friend is using Valheim Plus with some mods he did together, now makes more sense, the mods are bugging, that's the reason why I can't build correctly.
