They can, high rank/quality fish can be amazingly big when mounted.
In short, we found 1 liquid lake and 26 frozen lakes in 319 frozen caves. I'd say these lakes are more rare than maypoles by a long shot since these lakes do not exist on every map.

Yup, that's the new "feature" in the public test I guess. I guess this is the Dev's answer to liquid lake scarcity.
