Console Commands not working?

I wanted to work on some of my old builds but I can't seem to be able to bring up the console with F5. I have typed in -console in my launch options and restarted my game and pc a couple times and it still doesn't even bring up my console. I have tried both hosting the world on singleplayer and on a server and still nothing works.

Im wondering if devcommands or the console in general just isn't a thing anymore or if there is something wrong with my game.

still is a thing in the new update. maybe your keybind to open the console changed? / is wrong?

How would I check to even see if its changed, I simply can not open the console.

Strange, I can confirm it does work cus I just used it last night for the first time. Maybe try verifying files through Steam. Hopefully that'll fix it.

Verifying them did nothing, I will try uninstalling and reinstalling I guess.

Yeah, my problem is I can't even open the console with any key. I have tried the whole keyboard and nothing opens it.

I haven't ever installed any mods, there also isn't any space before -console, but I can try it with a space before ( -console) and with a space between just in case (- console).

Neither of the spelling changes did anything either. I am at a loss here unfortunately...

on an EU keyboard its F5 for the console
maybe also check if your shortcut has the "-console" added to the commandline

I have an amd graphics card, and I did not change the monitor or video card since playing the game. Also, its set to 1920 x 1080 in the resolution as well and that is what it was when I played before as well.

I will try to look at the binds.txt because that could help and maybe I can change the console bind to see if that works as well.

Would you know where the binds. txt file would be in the file directory? I can't seem to find it in Valheim's local files nor in the steam userdata for Valheim.

Just a quick maybe but check make sure you didn't hit a function button that switches ur F keys to other functions, that happened to me once on a diff keyboard diff game.

I will check my files. I have a normal size keyboard and it doesnt have a function key that will change the function keys.
