Question to those using Valheim Plus

I'm consider getting a server from Survival Servers, and I'd like to potentially get 20-50 slots total--I've heard things can get kind of laggy/etc. beyond 5 players--is there a way to fix this for those who do run Valheim + and have success with larger servers?

I use g portal there amazing and you can actually add more ram to your server via more money of course. Yeah thing is ppl build and the more you build the more lag you get. As far as v+ goes that's just a mod right should not cause any lag. I'd try going up on ram for server and keep it around 10 to 15 just my thoughts. I'm sure there is another solution but that's mine. Also I'll join your server friend me.

Yes, things get laggy though we've found that in the vanilla game on a server it can be just as bad. There's networking mod called BetterNetworking which you can use to adjust the game settings and negate the lag altogether but all users need to have it and run it.

Ah, at the moment I'm still considering it--Im planning on a heavy roleplay server with some heavy restrictions on building and such, but if things seem like they wont work too well, I might not do it. Ive played Valheim a lot in the past, but just wanted to give this kind of server an attempt if I end up spinning up a server again--the last server I had was from Survival Servers--which, due to a hiccup on their end, they gave us free lifetime 10 slots for any server we can apply to--so thats why I was going with Survival Servers--their customer support has been very good to us.

I'll see if ram might help--I've mostly just worked with slot upgrades in the past

Oh? Very interesting--I assume BetterNetworking would be workable with other mods generally? (It would be my first time with a V+ and a modded server generally, so I apologize with any stupid questions)

Oh, well--it seems like 30 might be the highest Survival servers offers slot wise, so Im thinking maybe they know the limits.
