Does the Mistlands ever become visually appealing?
I ask this from an exploration perspective. I always love finding new lands, especially mountainous or hilly areas where I can see from great vistas. Is this possible in Mistlands or does the mist obscure everything?

I've found the border of one mistlands on my seed and theres just massive fog around everything even from the sea.

Get high enough and the mist no longer becomes an issue. There are sections of the biome that don't have the obscuring mixed, it's more dotted about.

Does it get as high as the snow mountain regions?

i use a mod to increase visibility in the mist. If it were not for this mod i may not enjoy the game update as much. If you climb to the tallest peaks the view can be amazing but on the ground you can't really see much lol.

Would be nice if after you defeat the Queen the mist eases off a bit at least!

No, its awful. They did this so they didn't have to actually make a biome polished most likely.

You ARE using the Wisplight from defeating Plains boss and Wisp Torches, yeah?

negative. i beat the mistlands boss yesterday and will not be returning to this game until there is a mod to remove the fog. I do not find it appealing visually or gameplay-wise. the infested mines are too rare to risk missing one because you can't see your nose in front of you.

Get off your old world. A new world has wisp torches active outside the mines making them easy to find.
