Can you breed Lox or not?
I've seen conflicting answers. Some sources say yes, others say it's impossible. Is it something that got added along the way? I haven't bothered trying to tame any yet myself, because it doesn't really seem worth it unless they can be bred.

Yes, you can breed them. Tame them and give them something to eat. Keep them close to each other and they will breed. I think they can eat cloudberries, barley and flax.

Thank you! I guess it's time to dig a giant pit to catch some and start farming lox meat. I bet an army of them would be fun against Yagluth, too.

Yes, you absolutely can. I have done it several times. They can easily break through walls though. So, my recommendation is to use your hoe to raise the ground and build a small pen that you can lure them into. Nothing can break through the ground and I have found this to be the best way to trap them. Throw in some cloud berries, and find some cover nearby to wait. Once tame, use the lox saddle to ride them back to base.

Oh yeah, they can help with Yagluth. But you will need a lot of them since they don’t like fire. I made a lox breeder on top of Yagluths fingers. A wolf breeder too. There must have been hundred loxes and two hundred 2star wolves. I could barely move due to low fps… but they have eaten Yagluth in seconds. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2735642405

Holy smokes! That must've taken hours of work. I don't think I'm dedicated enough to invest that kind of energy. I haven't even tried for 2* wolves yet because of how daunting that task is.

Lox are fortunately much easier to keep track of in their natural environment. :) They are also much more useful than any other animals so far, so keep at it and good luck.

Yeah, it took me a few hours to build it and take them up there. I had loxes and wolves already tamed at that point.
That was a fun project.

they also need room to breed,so if you placed them in a tight area. they wont eat which is needed for breeding.
