Yet another fishing question

Don't worry, I hope this is an easy one.

I just got back into Valheim and I am trying out the new fishing system. I am currently exploring the swamp, so no high level stuff yet anyway.

I was fishing in the meadows and caught the following:
Pike Q3 x1
Perch Q2 x2
Perch Q1 x1
Tuna Q1 x1

Looking at the cauldron, I can create raw fish from these fishes. However, the recipe shows a single raw fish. So will I get 1 raw fish for each of those meadow fish, regardless of their quality? If not, then it would make sense to turn the Q2 Perches into Raw fish and the Q1 Perch into bait. Also, does fish quality affect the amount of bait created?

I am aware that I can simply try it out. However, not only do I suck at fishing, I also don't find it very entertaining (like irl) so I do want to minimize fishing as much I can and thus don't want to waste any product.

Uncertain on the bait, but you definitely get more than one raw fish from higher qualities.

I got 1 raw fish from level 1 perch, 1 from level 1 tuna and 4 from level 2 tuna. And the bait doesn't seem to change the chances but idk for sure

Thanks, that was very insightful. I did as I said and only turned the Q1 perch into bait and turned the others into fish:
Pike Q3 --> 7 raw fish
Perch Q2 --> 4 raw fish
Tuna Q1 --> 1 raw fish

So it seems meadow fish give the same amount of raw fish independent of species, but depending on quality.

i am fishing in meadow 10 min and nothing, what i do wrong? i have baits, it use, throw to water and nothing ... millions fishes around bait, jump on water and nothing ... my stamina gone and i catch nothing .. .so what was fixed , update on fishing, its same stupid as before

I'm not clear if you're not getting any bites, or if you just aren't reeling the fish in. If the fish aren't biting, they're actually from another biome - maybe try another spot in the meadows to see if you get the right fish there? If the problem is your stamina when reeling the fish in, make sure you have high stamina food and don't cast the full 20m. Even 10m can be too far if you get a feisty fish.

Yeah they made fishing a little more tedious and giving same rewards as before :
Different fishes of the dame type are like this because their quality , before was the dame but just when catch them it gived the higher fish meat
Make a lots of new fishes ( like 12 ) baits but them give the same meat , so i dont see why fish in another biome thats not me/adows or black forest ...
I know , entire fish + some trophy are for new baits but meh ... Nothing more
They could adding a fish trap or a fishing net ...
