New breeding system, or how it is possible?
before mistland, 2 pigs i give 1 berry to earch = 1 small pig .... 50 berries to each pig = 50 pigs
but now i have breeding station and put for test 4 berries to each pig, so I should have 4 pigs, but have 12 pigs and berries are still there ... so its bug, or something about this changes?

ok it ended 16 pigs from 4 berries each big pig. Pigs are 1 star, so they have twins always?

Ever since the Dec 2 mistlands public beta patch (which was what was just launched into the main channel, btw) my animals have basically stopped breeding. I gave my chickens stacks and stacks of seeds and they haven't produced any eggs. Before the patch, on the original mistlands public beta, I got sixteen eggs out of them and enough chickens to stock a coop. Afterward, forget it. No eggs. No pigs. No wolves. Several stacks of carrots for the pigs, and I maybe got one piggy per stack. Something's definitely up. There's been bugs and bugs and bugs reported on the public beta test feedback forums and it still launched like this.

looks like something really changed, but cant find info about it. ago was 1 food 1 small pig, now 1 food = 4 small pigs

Lets assume 2 boars. 1 food = 10 minutes of breedable state for each animal. Through valheim gender magic both animals can, and often do, end up pregnant at the same time. For boars the pregnancy duration is 1 minute. After they give birth they can immediately breed and get pregnant again. You can easily get 6+ piglets for 2 food to 2 boars. That is for 2 pigs.

The amount of piglets you can get per minute goes up even further with more pigs because they can reach pregnant state faster from multiple partners. bowchickawowow

Edit: this isn't new. this has been in the game since at least Hearth&Home update if not sooner.

Here is how my pig farm has worked since Hearth and Home update. You should also keep in mind that animals won't breed if there are already too many in an area.

For my pig farm i have 3 pigs in a hut and they are the only ones that get food and breed. That hut is connected to a pen about 12m away via a corridor of fence.

Whenever i hear a piglet be born i go and push it out of the breeding hut and leave it in the slaughter pen. i stockpile at least 10 piglets in the slaughter pen and then go do other things for an hour. When i come back they are all fully grown.
