Best way to host a server?
With Mistlands I want to come back for some viking fun, but I have a peculiar list of mods I require. So far not found a server that tickles my fancy, so gonna start my own.

Would anyone recommend me some server hosting services, programs, or just ideas for my own dedicated server? The more powerful the better, cheaper is also nice but I understand I may have to fork over a penny or two for what I want.

Just to throw this out there, I run my own server and I use AMP to setup Valheim. AMP is Application Management Panel (It's like 10 bucks). You can sometimes find some cheapy servers with enough to run Valheim.

Never heard of that before but I can try I guess. Seems weird to pay for an application and then pay for servers too though.

A home pc is fine for hosting 3-7 or more players depending on bandwidth/upload.

Easy setup, no need for amp or pay servers. Most mods work fine as is.

Don't think too deep into this, and make sure to only follow the windows sections for windows.

The whole thing is essentially just downloading and tuning the launch batch file and opening ports. Not much more.
