I just looked into it again. I deleted all mods, verified integrity, redownloaded all the latest versions of each of the mods I was using before... still having the same issue. There are a ton of graphical errors with the crafting/repair sections... do you have any suggestions on what to do? I'm at a loss. It really messed up my progress since I can't play while these errors occur. Here's a brief console copy if it helps you to understand what's going on:
And then even when I disable the culprit "Stations are Containers", I still get the graphical UI errors, and then millions of these in the console:
but, plant anything also works fine in a vanilla server
Yes, you can - just turn off the server option in the config file.
Mods are desigend to enhance the game play, the fun and to fill gaps the companies don´t see. Hence, they are meant to increase the fun and image of the game. Then, why by all the gods behave the comapnies as if these "turbos" were useless crap??? All these "enhancements", DLC´s, Upgrades only create chaos, work and leave me annoyed. Of course, besides revenue.... All these hosted games just suck. I build a stable version with all the mods I want, I am happy, enjoy, and love my game - and all of a sudden a new release, patch or whatever destroys all my efforts and fun. This is not only with Valheim. I could list quite a few other games, all hosted and continuosly changed on a platform. I am meanwhile so frustrated that I am seriously thinking about changing my buying behaviour. Only buy games where and which I can fully install on my HDD without any interference by hosters. It works for Oldies like Skyrim, Fallout 4 etc. If this ist the only way to ensure a stable modded game, then so be it. I am fed up with these annoying changes. Steam - you will have to deal without a significant portion of my money in the future.
While I'm personally 'pro mod if you enjoy that' it should be noted a dev team is NOT required to care about code you insert into the game files you purchased from them. You're willfully changing how game interacts with itself, and whatever you inject into it. Asking them to fine comb every time they attempt to update their files is rather an entitled stance to take.
The reason your 'oldies' don't run into that problem . .is frankly because they are old, and no longer being updated. Any game that gets updated generally breaks mods, its not a developments teams responsibility to ensure third party code works with the code they're creating. Even games that openly support and work with their modding community those mods are still going to need updating when new baseline code is put into the original files of the game.
