Epic Loot is less stable, edit*: has recently been updated after a long hiatus, is less balanced, but serves the same purpose.

wheres gem slots and other item customization. sadness.
I tried jewelcrafting but it just seems like a mega grindfest. I don't like how there's a 50% chance to destroy your item. It took me almost half a day to drag enough silver off the mountain to my base to craft frostner and silver battleaxe
I got the gem from Eiktyr and put a socket on a club, but clicking the socket button on the right side on the club does nothing?
I also cant open the jewelers bag? Seems the mod is broken for me
Theres also no forums where one can ask???
Any tips?
(To bad Vortex cant manage Valheim mods properly without constantly braking things, otherwise Nexus is so much better than Thunderstore)
Can only have one Boss-Gem equipped at a time.

You say jewel crafting doesn't fit into the game with it's colorful ore deposits when Epic Loot showers the screen with colorful beams of light and turns your character into an unstoppable god. I'm all for having opinions but let's be fair about them, haha. I recommended both and my comparison is fair.

Also, it's never been "less stable", it's never been anything but flawless for us. If anyone has stability issues, it's one of their other lesser mods causing it. I certainly wouldn't mix it with EpicLoot since they're shooting to do similar things - that's just asking for trouble.
Is EpicLoot fixed yet? Dunno, haven't tested since initially when Mistlands dropped.
It's unlikely Jewelcraft will ever get much/any attention from me, but I commend the guy for working on it. "Cool" is different for everyone. EpicLoot fits my bill.
Some people also claim Valheim+ is abondend and not updated regularly - what a bs, 2 clicks away on Nexus theres 100% proof thats not true. Valheim plus is the best mod ever, replaces 20 single mods.
An epic loot update is in the works.
Also there is a Patch you can use that makes Epic loot work, it can be found on the discord for epic loot.
Edit: Where did you get the insane idear that, epic loot was not been updated?
Randy said he would update the mod/work on it when mistlands hit.
Now its here and hes working on it, and befor that he made a beta patch you could use for the PTS.
It hadn't been updated for months while Jewelcrafting was actively being updated. I edited my original post so it's accurate, but the rest still stands. As a mod, it caused desync in multiplayer and overpowers your character.
There's a link to the discord on the mod's website, along with mod details and a list of patch notes.

Also the whole "overpowers your character" now you sound like a puritan, people play how they want to play.
Why fix something that is not broken, life support didt stop people from using El at all.
Dont think i have had any desyncs yet with my friends.
JWC traits are so low and start out so, no bang for your buck, that i rather just not use any enchantment mod, if i had to use that or go vanilla.
But atleast Randy is very aktive atm.
I didn't tell people how to play. If you prefer it, play it, but Jewelcrafting is the more balanced option and is more likely to be updated more frequently.
