Will start my new save on that map , thx for sharing
If you don't spoiler it, you absolutely have to use the raft to explore even to find the first boss. I love the terror of taking a raft into the open ocean.
My build are 11 40m towers, in set 3/5/3 with 2 water channels, and this spot fit well for it.
Trader, all biomes, and all bosses can be accessed on foot alone.
Good thing they had 12-25 men to row their boats and didn't have to deal with walking being faster than boats most of the time do to a horrid wind system and migraine inducing camera bob on the oceans...
+1 for this seed, using it in my current game waiting for mistlands to leave PTS
Just south of that main starting continent, there is a pair of small islands separated by a river, that consist of plains and black forest and make a great spot for an end game base. The islands are small enough that you can easily spawn block one of the islands, while leaving the other to spawn plains creatures nearby in a controlled fashion.
My goal is to NOT SAIL AT ALL! It is cumbersome even compared to Atlas, slower than walking 90% of the time do to the horrid move speed of even end game boats, and this is the only sailing I have seen in any game that makes me physically ill to watch it, it takes me 3 mods minimum to even try.
Faster boats, No more sea sick mod, and one that blows my fov so far out my ship looks like I am playing a ARPG.
All 5 base biomes on foot, trader on foot, and goes out to mistlands on foot, with the exception of a single ribbon of ocean you have to cross (far side is in rendering range, so easy rafting) There is a rock you can stand on in that ribbon that actually is Ocean biome, so you can fish for ocean fish from land.
Downsides are: Elder is beyond swamp, and Modder and later bosses are not on the starting island.
Did I mention that there are 2 maypoles?
