I can not find any Yggdrasilwood any help would be welcome

Just chop down any tree in the mistlands

We're having the same problem. We are using a black metal axe and the Yggdrasil wood shoots only drop "wood". We've chopped down about a dozen so far with no joy. Don't understand what we're doing wrong?
