Does this Game Take Place on a Flat Earth?
Do not want to trigger anybody, still, circular world... is there an ice wall on the edge?
Center is not frozen so that is out. Hmmm.
Moon is way too big to be in orbit. Would break up into a ring.
Giant tree in sky would work better if hanging from a dome, perhaps on cables?
My all time favorite game. Still have not made it past the Mountains.
Just keep building and building.
And looking at the sky and wondering...

Yes , is a flat disk with high mountains and you can fall to the void if you get too close to the edges

It's true though. if you sail too close to the edge you're going over. Cross that invisible line and there is nothing you can do about it. You're going to die and lose all your stuff without hope of recovery. If you go over in God Mode you end up in an empty desert wasteland which you can escape using the Fly command.

Open the map, zoom all the way out, and decide for yourself.

And expect to see an elephant or turtle on the way down if I go off in the right place.

There was an old PS1 game called Discworld that explained this concept rather well, it was voiced by Monty Python's Terry Pratchett.

also apparently a comic :

Forgot about the turtles all the way down.

All sea faring nations knew that the Earth wasn't flat. People even knew some time between 276 BC and 174 BC when Eratosthenes calculated the Earth's circumference (only off of the modern measurement by .8%) and he successfully calculated the Earth's axial tilt with nearly the same precision.

If European explorers had been up on their ancient Greek they would have known that there was more to the planet than Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The game takes place in the viking afterlife. Your character is dead. So the world could be any shape. Even contradictory shapes. It's a mythical place, doesn't have to make sense.

And they totally forgot the 4 giant eagles attached to the feet of the elephant, carrying the turtle on it's back! The eagles are essential.

What does knowing the shape of the earth have to do with knowing the various continents that compose it?

Yes people knew early on that the earth was a sphere, but how could they have known that there was such things as the America's or Austral islands?

And the Monty Python member was Terry Gilliam, not Terry Pratchett. Sorry.

We used to have it on PC when I was little, I remember it being impossible to work out the answers to most of the puzzles but the jokes were funny.
