How to get a 2 star boar?

I have several boar stones, which I go back to every couple of in-game days and check for boars. They are always empty of boars . Is there something I need to do to get the boars to spawn? Or, is there a better way to get a 2 star boar?

From what I understand, the boars around a boar stone only respawn when every single one of the stone's boars have been killed.

What'll often happen is that a one or two of the boars will walk far away, and so while you kill the boars immediately around the stone, the previous boars will go unnoticed and thereby prevent the boars from respawning.

I have found the farther away you are from your start island the more likely a higher star boar is to spawn. If you have a meadows base look for a boar stone as far from the center of your start island as possible. The first 2, 2 star boars I found were on an island 4 islands away from my start spot not near a boar stone or an abandoned farm but right on the edge of the plains.

I still haven't found a 2 star boar on my start island only a 1 star and it was on the east coast of the start island. That coast was 3 times the distance from the start stones that the west coast was away from the start stones.

Gotta be far from the spawn (some say 800 'meters', can't confirm) and your best bet is around a Boar rune stone. Not guaranteed, but a better chance.

I read this was the case as well, but there was a boar stone roughly 120-150 "meters" from my spawn on my last seed, and I was able to get a 2-star boar from it. (One of my players found it, and I didn't believe it until I saw it myself.)

Yeah, boar stones are a one-time spawner. Your best bet is to find a meadows roughly 10% or more from the Sacrificial Stones (where you're first dropped into the game) to the world edge and do your hunting at night.

Seen 2 so far both in abandoned villages on the next island over from my start island. Both sightings at night.

Luck & time I guess you just have to look around for them. I found them on 3 of 5 worlds, tamed them on all of them & always have leather. If you see one, try not to lose track of it, and gather as much wood as you can, without startling it.

Then quickly slap together a makeshift pen, and kite it in there (preferably with one other boar at the same time for a mating pair) and leave the food in the pen b4 you aggro it over, once they are trapped, build a few more fence parts around the edge of the fence, and make sure they don't escape as they might destroy the little round pole fences.

If you don't worry about it and just progress then by the time you find one it won't matter anymore.

Don't beat yourself up over 2 star, 1 star works fine as well. You'll eventually find lots of leather scrap farming for iron anyways and the meat doesn't remain in demand forever (though Sausages are a really good food for Swamp/Mountain level).
