Fenring hair from Fenring enemies.

Just a thought as I scoured a couple mountains for ice caves. Shouldn't Fenring hair be a loot drop from actual Fenrings? Correct me if I'm wrong, but they never drop it which is strange considering it is the fur from the creature itself.

I have never seen fenris hair outside of Frost Caves. Which makes sense insomuch that it was introduced into the game with the addition of the Frost Caves. It may be that Fenris & Fenring are related, but they are not the same creatures. Fenring walk upright on two legs, Fenris walk on all fours. The Fenris in the caves drop the hair occasionally, but the Fenring outside the caves don't.

+1 for Fenrings to drop the hair at least one or 2 pieces, make the stuff a renewable resource outside of caves. Would also give the player another reason to go hunting at night in the mountains.

Yeah the op is asking if the first link & third link aren't connected to loot drops, as it would seem fitting if they were. I asked this ages ago but there wasn't really an answer for it.

Indeed, I would love to see the Fenring outside the caves drop the hair but I would also like to see them made a little tougher to kill. The first time I heard and saw one I was like, uh oh this looks like a werewolf on steroids. I was quite surprised it went down in two hits.

Right now Fenrings are next to useless. The drop rate for the trophy is very rare. Other than that all you get is a wolf fang which is practically useless and you already get those from wolves! I think they need to raise the drop rate percentage a little bit AND (agreeing with OP) have them drop Fenris Hair every time. That would be a big improvement I think.
