Weird behaviour of a tamed boar

My boar (1 Star) escaped from the stable and i cant poke it back because it is always running to one place near a lake. I build walls of fences and try to poke it through it but when i accidentally breaked one wall too much it ran back to the same point.
It is always looking to that point so i cant really poke it :(
Is there any help that i can unbug the boar? Its my only one star boar.

I believe boars you tame always try to get back to their spawn. It's usually not that much of a problem to build a wall to where you want it to go and push it, as long as the wall is narrow (just enough for the pig to fit) and then once you make some progress you wall off behind you so it cant escape back. Should you lose some progress you place yourself on the other side of the walled off part, destroy the wall and continue pushing...

Having said that you could also build a temporary pig farm where this pig is located and breed a few pigs and then bring those pigs to your base.

I think you are right about the spawn, its my experience too. I just kill the originals after they have pigglets.

If it is all ready tame, name it so you can tell its your original boar. Build a fence all the way around it with a gate and lure another boar into the fence and tame it too. Then wait until you get 2 one star piglets (the piglets are easier to push) or until you get 2 one star boars that aren't the named one and build a set of parallel walls from the gate to where your farm and animal pen is and push the new one star boars or piglets to your animal pen one boar at a time. Once you have 2 one star boars safely penned at your farm and they start breeding you can get rid of your other boars.

If the one star boar is not all ready tame, build a pen where you want to breed boars with a gate (I like to use short walls and 2 shutters since I can see over them and jump over them and the boars can't) and get the boar's attention so that it tries to attack you and you can lead it to the pen that you built, open the gate and lead the boar inside, close the gate and then jump over the short wall. Once that boar is tame name it so that you know which one it is and lead another boar to the pen the same way and tame it.

Once you have at least 2 unnamed one star boars in the pen you can cull all of the rest and not have to worry about wandering boars.

IMHO quite possible if the origin of the Boar was at a runestone... also i think your not talking about an "aggro'd" boar just a wanderer. im also assuming that the boar will head to food if hungry and dropped food available nearby..

Just kill it, this pig sounds like it's too much trouble. Also IMHO pig farms are not worth the hassle.

Pretty much my own experience. He run off to the ocean where I first met him and now he is just there, always hungry and always friendly. You can bring him back with a harpoon if you have one (make sure to turn your PvP on) or honestly, just let him be and find yourself another one, or better, yet, 2 star boar as they look even more spectacular. I just visit mine tamed one from time to time to say hi, and it's funny to see him always being there.

To find yourself a 2 star boar - explore the land and find a boar rune. it's the one with lots of text, and it mentions boars in the second paragraph. That's a boar spawn point. Visit it from time to time, better at night as more stronger enemies appears, or just kill all the boars around the rune, get back and wait till they spawn again. Eventually you will get yourself a new one.
