I tried it for a year ... it is the equivalent of doing your work/job on a phone: yes, it can be done, but it is very restrictive and limiting. I've heard people say they use a mouse and keyboard with their console, but you're still playing on inferior hardware with an inferior display (using a TV).
Much, much less expensive.
Much less maintenance and tinkering involved.
Few concerns about software not working as intended.
Don't get me wrong, crossplay is great. But Sony isn't doing anything MS wasn't doing when they were on top and Sony was playing nice with the whole idea.
