I havent unlocked any crafting recipies after picking up swamp stuff.

Just wanted to ask if its suppoed to be like that. I picked up like 8 things including roots from the mini boss or whatever that ent was. So I just wanted to ask cause I havent unlocked any new crafting recipies apart from a few decorations.

Did you get turnip seeds? I'm assuming you've got a cauldron. You'll need turnips to unlock things like turnip stew, and you'll also need to craft a spice rack to get the second-tier recipes (and the spice rack requires turnips).

Yeah you need to plant those seeds and grow yourself some turnips. That should unlock that spice rack for you.

If you forge an iron ingot a whole lot of recipes open up

You make root armor on the workbench. And when you have some extra iron bars
make nails; that will unlock some furniture and most importantly the longboat.

I have ancienbark but I have no new crafteble items in the workbench/forge

To unlock all stuff from swamp you need to kill all mobs there.

- draugr (entrails)
- elite draugr (trophy)
- leech (bloodbag)
- blob (guck - also mineable at some trees)
- ooze (ooze? and sometimes scrap iron)
- wraith (chain)
- abomination (roots)
Additional but not necessary for new stuff: surtlings for cores and coal, their trophy is a nice little light, that doesn't need fuel.

Scrap iron (drops sometimes from ooze or mined in crypts) needs to be smelted, pickup the ingot!

- find a turnip seed plant and cultivate it, pick up the turnip then. The plant sometimes is hard to find, pretty rare. Don't give up watching out for a little yellowish plant like the carrot plants in dark forest.

- chop an old tree to get ancient bark (also in chests in crypts) the big ones are indestructible but the small ones can be chopped.

You may need to upgrade your crafting stations as well. Unless I'm mistaken, some recipes won't appear until you have a strong enough crafting station to make them.

How do I upgrade my crafting stations though? I built everything around it and nothing more shows in when I pull out the hammer. Same goes for the cauldron, nothing shows up for me to upgrade it.

Those do not drop guck. They drop ooze.
