dismantling
hello, if I dismantle something like the teleporter will I get all the materials I used to make it or just a fraction of total materials? I am redoing my main base, also can I put those items that level up the forge and workshop to the basement [somewhat hidden and will be in-accessible because I will be closing entrance to it] and still get its perks?

Yes you get same returns on the portal when demolishing.

As for forge/worktable upgrades, above or below, as long as they're in the correct distance/proximity they'll have the upgrades. People do hide such things to make their base space look less cluttered.

Yes you get full refund of items. Only thing that doesn't refund all items is spike walls and campfires. I have heard some people reporting that only a third of materials is returned but I believe this is mod related or they misplaced the materials somehow or a bug.

Campfires bonfires etc that you feed wood into will also not refund the fuel.

I like the look of those upgrades and never hide it. For example the chopping block and adze I put behind or in front the house and a stack of wood beside it (and maybe plant a tree) so it looks like someone's working with wood there ;-)

But yes you can hide everything as long as it's connected within the appropriate distance.
