Valheim

Does anyone know if this armor combination works?
So me and my friend plays and he has thw wood armor. and since it gives weakness to fire. And fenris is immune to it.
Can you equip one fenris armor and you are immune to fire completely or?

Hey there,

the fire resistance is only for the full Fenris set.
You can check out the Wiki if you want more in-depth info on the armour sets in the future:

Have a good day!

It works for me as long as you're not wearing white shoes after Labor Day.

You do you baby but like Grin said, no white after Labor Day.

What does happen if you combine weakness and resistance on the same entity anyway, do they just cancel out?

Currently as Nefra indicated, you can't get +/- on a character's armor due to the whole fenris set being required so its a bit moot.

Fire resistance potion's % is higher than the -% though of the wood armor so it just makes the fire resistance effectiveness more marginalized to my knowledge (ie you take damage just only fractionally less).

Set armor means you need the entire set for a bonus to work, mixing and matching means you get no buffs, and what Ret said.

Fire resistance needs full Fenris armor or fire resistance potion.

In the case you want to fight Yagluth: Pray. And don some good padded armor.

And hope it works. Seriously.

Could have added a bit of a spoiler warning there. I haven’t met Yagluth or know what attacks he does. I do now I guess.

Boss of the plains being fire based doesn't seem like the biggest spoiler ever.

Not the biggest spoil sure but not a small one since it is a boss. Prolly would have figured it out before but still wouldn’t hurt to add one

Fenris armor bla bla bla...
I think here he was asking in general when buffs/debuffs collide. Like when you have a rested buff but you're wet. I thought it was a good question. I don't know the answer. I'd guess that they cancel or the stronger effect would win but be weaker - but I don't really know.
