The iron sledge, something about leaping into a group of filings and putting the hammer down....watching them flail as you bash again and hear the glorious ring of simultaneous crits....I REALLY hope we get another 2 handed club soon ;D
The Blackmetal Atgier on the other hand is very good too. High stamina usage per poke, but offers high Pierce dmg and is a great spacing tool. The secondary attack I believe staggers most if not all enemies (Even a 2* Fuling). The knockback on the primary attack is low so it can take care of monsters fast without having to run at them after the 1st hit due to knockback. Also, its parry block power is high so you can parry Lox and Fulings without needing to switch to a shield.
I use spears for most of the game. Enemy hitboxes are wonky on slopes, I enjoy the flexibility of being able to throw a spear at them to resolve that issue. Primary and secondary attacks have low stamina usage compared to other weapons which is really nice in high stamina use terrain like the swamp and mountains.
My secondary weapon is a hammer. It has the benefit of dealing it's damage through walls, doors, trees, rocks, etc. Really shines in the forest and swamp, though I continue to use it in the mountains and plains.
