Enemies: Lore
what do you know about the lore of the Enemies, for example Fulings are a part of the Europe Folklore, but what about the Stone Golem and Abomination, i have no clue,.

Stone golem is part of the Forest Faction, the other Undead, i don't remember anything about these...

Are you asking about internal lore or historical folklore?

There are no Furlings in Valheim, on the other hand there are Fulings, which means someone ugly or sly. Golems have nothing to do with Viking culture, but come from Jewish 12th century mythology. However, Vikings would have had to get their silver from Poland, where the golem story was popular, thus maybe explaining their inclusion in the game. The Abomination is just something the developers made up, I guess.

Draugr are undead creatures from Scandinavian saga folktales. Revenants that kept near their graves, or royal palaces, guarding treasures buried with them in their burial mounds.

According to wikipedia, draugar are a mix of intelligent and malicious (modern, dead) zombies for the look, phantoms of evil persons who don't want to die, and vampires who can transmit their malediction. They might also be related to persons who were accidentaly burried alive in the past (the later not specific to Scandinavian folklore, though).

i think they should re-word it to "elemental" though. The golem was clay and man-made, while the mountain guys seem more like a (super)natural occurrence.

Or hey, perhaps they too were made, by the fallen civilization that built all the mountain castles...

Don't you mix them with surtlings, the people of Surt?

While some aspects of the game have real world folklore origins, not everything does.

You have no proof of this! We've never met them. lol
Surtlings are named after Surtr, a Norse Jotunn (Giant) associated with fire.

Hrungnir is probably the inspiration for stone golems. He was like a stone made Jotunn (giant) that dueled Thor and got whooped or something.
