In the swamps I used sausages, boar jerky, and whatever stamina food I could get. This served me pretty well. Now, I'm in the mountains, and I still use sausages, but also wolf skewer as health food, wolf jerky as alround base food and eyescream as stamina food.
Secondary food: Wolf Skewer 25 min, Sausages 25 min, Eyescream 25 min and depending on resources I shift with onion soup 20 min.
Lazy food: Honey
After several runs, i've probably cooked all the recipes hundreds of times by now, my favourites are:
Deer Stew for making use of 3 farm methods to make one satisfying dish.
Wolf Jerky for being the superior balanced food.
Sausage for making good use of undead intestines. Who doesn't like Sausage?
I'm a carnivore in Valheim, no regrets.
Eyescream
Blood Pudding
Wolf Skewer.
I invested in knifes & fists and play like a rogue while my friends tank. The extra stamina allows me to stay very mobile.
I run around the plains with lox pie, bread and sausage, only use serpant stew for bosses, it's obtainable very early, but I don't hunt serpant often enough, sausages are just great :D
Honey is an excellent stamina food early, beacuse it completely renews, and let's you save berries for deer stew, and meads when you enter the swamp
Generally I don't bother with it for long, but it is good when your at the black Forest, before you can get things like turnips from the swamp, as soon as you do, yeah, you won't really make it anymore xD
Gotta say, that's one of my favorite combos. Before the swamp, I'm usually running Deer stew, carrot soup and queens jam which isn't bad, but for some reason the former food combo feels like much more of an accomplishment than this one.
