Wolves STILL despawning?

I just had my trapped wolf despawn. Not a 1 or 2 starred Wolf, but a normal wolf. I thought this issue had been fixed by now? Anyone else still having this issue?

I would like to know too. Its been a few months since i tamed 2 star wolf and would like to do it again on the new server. Does the taming works like before the H&H update or it has been changed?

@Hawk18: Did you feed them or despawn wolves directly after taming?

Taming was in progress. No star wolf had been fed. I left the area to hunt more food and wolf had disappeared from an enclosed pen when I returned.

Trying to find a 2 star wolf, but they only come out at Night, right?

I really thought the despawning of wolves had been fixed many months ago.

Your bringing up the two star thing got me thinking...

Did you capture the no star one at night?
I know the game will despawn a two star wolf during the day since it is considered a night enemy.... so basically you need to have enough food there to tame it when captured.

Just wondering if the one star one was considered a night time mob spawn and despawned during the day when you left?

Have to stay close to them until tamed or they will despawn. But I think that is for night spawned wolves.

Thanks for the info! Not sure if the wolf was a night wolf. It might have been right as night was falling. But, thought the despawning only occured w. 1 or 2 star wolves, not zero star wolves. Also, had thought (hoped) that this issue was fixed ages ago. Next time I'll make sure I have tons of food and hope to find a 2 star wolf to tame. AND won't leave the area...

not really the same but sort of. I can not find 2 star wolves. I find reg, one star ane lots of ferrings. Killed 3 ferrings in one 9 min night, but cant find a 2 star. My impression was that the 2 stars turn into ferrings correct? but on my map they just seem to spawn as ferrings.

I was just going to start a topic about this. I've searched 2 mountain biomes. Day & Night. I've been attacked by wolves, drakes, fenrirs and golems. But still haven't come across a one or two star wolf in the world I started after H&H was released. With all the changes, do the starred wolves spawn less now? In my pre-H&H world, I had a couple armies of 2 star wolves.
