Why Can I Get a Horde Attack 7 Mins Into Gameplay?
So, one thing that is going to kill my love for this game is the horde attacking my base. What the heck? I killed one fuling to test myself and survived, must be ready for 10 at once and 2 beserkers! What?

I need to mention that my friends and I have progressed to silver, beat the bosses up to Moder, and that the attack was “the horde is attacking”. My main concern is that unlike most of the time where I or someone else play for 40+ minutes and have an attack, I had the attack happen 7 minutes after joining the dedicated server.

I think the devs need to fix this. It's ridiculous how one person can have that many thrown at them.. not to mention only 7 minutes into gameplay. I play on a dedicated server and sometimes I hop on for maybe 20-30 minutes just to gather supplies and have fun before classes. No one else is ever on for the most part when I hop on. We're all in college. They need to change it so that these attacks cannot happen so suddenly and so we actually have a bit more warning--because we all know that fulings before we are fully able are insanely difficult to take on by our lonesome.

I suggest that they change it so that it can only happen to 1 person WHEN they have 1 health mead or bonemass at the ready. I had to log out because my health is low, bonemass isn't ready, and I'm by myself. Survived in the past with a mead and bonemass. No clue how to survive now. So frustrated and it seriously deters me from playing at all.

Edit : Thanks for letting me know! I read into this stuff and had heard that events happen every 46 minutes of gameplay. I would like to let everyone who trusts that information that it is FALSE when and only when it comes to dedicated servers. Whoever put out the information that you don't get attacked until at least 46 minutes as the timer resets when you log off is wrong ONLY for dedicated servers. Since the dedicated server timer never resets, the timer is always going and you never know when you could be attacked. That being said, it was my prior knowledge that 46 minutes is the general rule and the reason I was so bothered by being attacked 7 minutes in. I thought the server files may have been corrupted or that something else was going on. This game is brutal for sure.

I would say that they should change this as having it constantly running the timer can ruin gameplay when we get really into building, the immersion into the game, etc. It should really happen after an hour of INVOLVED gameplay. The devs know this game can suck us into full on 8 hour gaming sessions and should make it more fair. That's my 2 cents! Thank you guys for your replies.

Its my understanding there is a chance of an event every 46 minutes. That timer does not start when you start playing for the day. If everyone logs out and its 1 minute from that next period when you log back in you will have a CHANCE in 1 minute to spawn an event.

The timer does reset when you log out. Since he’s playing on a dedicated server, the server is always running, thus the timer is never reset.

The op is wrong when he claims that the 46min rule is incorrect, as it is working as stated in the past. The only reason he got a raid 7min after joining was the fact that he’s playing on a dedicated server, so the raid timer is never reset.

I quite literally did. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s a dedicated server? My class starts at 9:45 so I got on at 9 and the horde started at 9:07.

Yes. If the others have beaten all the bosses (Yagulth in particular I believe) , which it seems they must of, then it effects you too. Especially if you haven't progressed as fast. It's the one thing that stinks about the way the system is set up.

We have not beaten Yagulth. I have killed one fuling myself (before the horde attacked the first time) and they have killed a few. Do you know how I got attacked 7 minutes in when no one else was in the dedicated server for the 7 minutes I was on?

Since its a dedicated server it reads like someone progressed further while you beeing offline.

If they are in the meadows then yeah, someone beat Yag who knows may have been a griefer passing through, you never know on a server.

Once I’m out of class I might, but I’ll die in the process. I logged out in the middle of the attack to save myself. I’m in the meadows near the Black Forest.
Talk to server admin. You may need to wipe you world and start over.

I mean, after all it could be some weird bug even if this should be almost unlikely.
But if you havent progressed to that point yet there should be no way you get attacked by now. Especialy not in meadows/black forest.

I still assume someone progressed further. May it be by accident (how ever) or on purpose.

Ah good point, I guess they start with beating Moder but you still get goblin raids after beating Yag as well. But I guess they are new night visitors rather than an "event".. not sure what the OP is having.

thats exactly what i guess
when the people have beaten moder - the fuling raids can occour
when the people beaten yaggi - raids will stop but fulings will wander around in nearly all biomes at night

thats exactly what i guess
when the people have beaten moder - the fuling raids can occour
when the people beaten yaggi - raids will stop but fulings will wander around in nearly all biomes at night

Let me say this : it was “the horde is attacking” event. Not random fulings in the night.
