Right as you spawn try and click on a gravestone and close out of it. You’ll get the corpse run buff which should prevent you from dying in one hit. Try and escape the area and obtain enough wood for a hammer. Then break the bed and when you die next you’ll spawn at the world spawn. Last lure the enemies out of your house and then grab your items.
get help from a friend.
use console commands.
try to dodge roll outta there (mobs should follow you and you can kite them away from your bed)
Thanks for the great tips, I will use it next time.
Awesome! Thanks :) I am still learning and these ideas I will try out.
Mobs do not spawn in rooms with closed doors
The game tells you and prevents you from sleeping if mobs are near.
Since it’s very likely he was killed by a swamp event, he went to bed before the event started and then the mobs spawned as he was falling asleep, which would allow them to enter his house and camp at his bed (Mobs do spawn and can move while sleeping). It’s likely a combination of bad luck and poor house coverage with core structures so that there was spaces that mobs could spawn in/near his house.
Same thing happened to me, only with the Horde attacking, I died 3 times. Event started just as I was going to sleep. Yeah, fight your way out from a bunch of goblins, Draugrs are sissies after that!
Turns out, I had left a door open and there was a spot in my base that a workbench didn't cover and that's where they spawned (that issue was quickly taken care of).
They do not spawn indoors though, they spawn outside the ring and move inwards.
Spawning indoors is irrelevant given the game is still running and doing its thing as you are going to sleep, and if there was open door and insufficient workbench coverage while there is x-seconds of time the player is unable to do anything due fading in black, seeing whatever sleep message there is and whatnot while everything else in the game is free to move and do whatever they will, it is perfectly possible to find indoors swarmed with enemies as you wake up.
You are free to replicate and verify that in separate seed with help of console commands and debugmode. Not saying such scenario is common but it is technically possible.
