Iron Cooking Station no longer working?

I recently took down our Iron Cooking Station because I needed to move some stuff, and now when I rebuilt it over a hearth (or campfire, or bonfire for that matter) it says I need to have an fire lit under the cooking station.

Even when placed directly over a hearth or campfire it doesnt work anymore :(

Mine works, pretty sure it has to be lengthwise centered over the hearth matching its orientation. Like, placed physically on the stone of the hearth

Did you have it in that exact positioning last time? Was thinking maybe it needs to be turned length wise over the hearth? Maybe it isn't registering enough of it actually being over the fire.

Yeah guys. I could never get it to work like the photo, has to be lengthwise, setting on the stone.
