Building a big bridge

so i just wanted to know if this bridge is a bit too ambitious for either basic wood or the game itself as its constantly red and breaking now

You could use a 45 angle square wood small piece at each end left and right place it towards the center on eack log that are on the outer ends that may reinforce the 2 outer so the center goes green, and not mess with your space to walk through.
You already have several each end like those, and there's a gap to place one inwards.

I'm *pretty sure* I had those at first, but they wouldn't line up with the ones they'd be perpendicular to, so I removed them. Doesn't really matter at this point, the bridge is finished and I don't need to add any more height to it. Thanks for the idea though.

if you see these structures and think of destroying them because you are mentally handicapped, you have always been a troll

I tried building a bridge like that over a much smaller gorge with wood and still had to raise the ground just to finish it. It also takes a lot of resources if you're not using creative mode.

Easily done using just wood if you know what you are doing. Barely any stone needed as well for leveling out certain sections of the gorge.

Plant pine trees to use as anchors for building integrity. It might look a tad odd but the bridge would work imo.

edit: Core Wood would make it even easier. I once made a tower using a pine tree and put a platform + portal at the top for fun.
