Wishbone question

So wishbone goes active. I find hotspot and dig. Get silver necklace. Dig a ton more since wishbone is still going crazy,nothing. Leave the area and it still pings and gets hot at same spot.

2nd time, different area. Same thing happens' only this time the jackpot is skeleton remains, lol. If that is all that there is there, why once you remove the "treasure" doesn't wishbone stop pinginG? This is a bit frustrating,

Yea that's a glitch with the wishbone, just don't bother going after valuables with it. It stops pinging properly when you strike ore.

I hear if you destroy the chest it was in it makes the Wishbone stop.

If that's true, then I assume it still pings based on the fact that there's simply a chest in the ground, empty or not.

Yes, bingo. I make sure to loot the chest then destroy the chest. I can't remember if the wishbone stops pinging once the chest is fully revealed.

It pings off the chest, not the loot so you gotta bust it.

For the skeleton there was no chest. It was just by itself. Not sure of Silver necklace. But I made a big hole as deep as could go and nothing else.

Had this same experience once. Nothing but a skeleton no matter how much we kept digging, yet the bone wouldn't stop pinging.

Good to know what's been commented about the proper treasure ones with chests, though. Will come in handy for sure.

try taking off the wishbone and putting back on
