Slowest burn
Whats got the slowest burn (if any) of the light sources?

And it needs to be an actual light source because the glowy things (mushrooms, eggs etc) just don't put out enough light. I need something I don't have to replenish often.

Someone had the amazing suggestion that they simply take whatever fuel from a chest in the base, but until then....

Braziers and Wall Sconces can take 5 Coal/6 Resin, giving you a little longer burn time than the Standing Wood torches which take 4 Resin. Also, if you have the space, a Hearth will take 20 Wood, whereas a regular campfire only takes 10.

I know the Yellow Mushrooms aren't the best with light, but Surtling Trophies burn a little brighter and never run out.

Hope this brightens your day!

Thanks, I know the amounts, but do any of them actually burn slower?

No, it's just a matter of having more fuel and not having to replenish quite as often.

there's also standing blue burning iron torch that uses Greydwarf eyes as fuel. 6 to be exact. I've played multiple hours with them burning without actually having to replace the fuel yet. Definitely love the look of them as well as the green burning torch.

Yeah, I've got that. This is why I wonder if there's any difference. But I CBA to hang around to see which goes first. It *feels* like I top these up less than other sources, but can't be sure.

Does infinity count because dverger circlet on armor stand is pretty good, or dyrnwyn if you're cheating.

This is the best answer.

Actually, the grey dwarf eyes in my blue torches seem to burn very slow. Anybody else think so? I haven't had to replenish mine at all, and its been burning for at least 5 days.

The wards put off decent light when activated too.

Your best bet is either the wall sconce or one of the standing iron torches. When filled to the max, they will burn for 33 hours and 20 minutes. In other words they last so long that while refilling them you can contemplate about what you are doing with your life :D

This might be my favorite mod. It succeeds so well in doing its job I forget that it exists.

Torches Eternal doesn't even need to be installed client side. Pair it with Serverside Simulation and it does its job for vanilla players on GFN.

Yeah, it's a simple matter to get addicted to easy-mode comforts, which is why I don't mess around with mods in the first place. If anything, I'm still of the opinion that modding needs its own dedicated forum, given that damn near every thread has someone popping in and recommending using a mod to do away with some decision the developers made.

Generally in response to someone asking if there's a workaround for that decision tbf. You'd pretty much just be renaming the suggestions page.
