Finding Frost Caves , Need Help
I know they are rare in unexplored Mountains. 1. Does Bonemass need defeated in same seed ? 2. Must you be carrying Wishbone ? 3. Do Frost Caves spawn below Obsidion elevation ? any valid info appreciated

Correct.

Caves are not always at the very top section of mountains. I've found them halfway down (on a taller mountain). They're up a ways but not always near the top. Just have to look around carefully.

I have generally found that the caves can be brutally hard to find. Even knowing what you are looking for flat front entrance, grayish blue stalactites and even with a specific location pin pointed from the world generator, I have had a terrible time locating them. Overall, they did a very good job of blending them into the surrounding scenery, but in a way that it is quite (frustratingly) hard to find. From what I have read the presence of golems may be an indicator of a nearby cave. With that said, a better visual cue such as bats might be a better way to locate these locations. The troll caves in the forest can be hard to find (but you almost always have troll out front).

Obsidian levels or higher.

Apparently despite some whining on the PTR forums the game just has not made as many caves as there are crypts in the swamp, or tombs int he dark forest... why they went this way I have no idea.

On the largest mountain zone on my brothers seed there was only 4 caves on the entire long ass, super high range of mountain.

You don't need to kill Bonemass, and you don't need your Wishbone, but honestly walking past silver and not at least marking it on the map for later is a tad short-sighted.

I didnt get any golem closer because them not spawn in the slope part of the mountain , where most caves are

I would like to find some ice caves, experienced and ready to cooperate.

So far my seed has spawned caves more on the sides than up on the ridge. They can be quite low; I've had at least one cave that spawned below the ridgeline. The game seems to like steep sides where it can stick that little lip that the cave sits on. Also, it seems the Valheim Map generator isn't totally accurate. I've found less caves at each island than what they list.

Yep, my experience also. Could be because I'm on older maps. Even though I haven't explored them much. The generator shows 5, I might find 3, usually 2 (and not in the area the world generator shows).

When I start a new world, I'll have to see if it's more accurate.

On a side note, out of 50 some caves I've found (on 2 different worlds), 2 caves were very deep, had 1 or 2 Golems at the bottom and I found a camp fire with a fishing pole and bait.

I found a cave today fairly low, in a valley between 2 medium peaks. I have not beaten Bonemass or Elder yet. I have found a couple more higher up, but still not very large mountains. But, every mountain I have found caves, I have also found silver so over 125m high?

they are hard t spot. I wonder if some of the issue is just not seeing them at times and wonder how many I may have missed. The weather is relatively clear and I have set the max draw distance on everything I could, and even here, with an obvious one, it still blends in if you are not taking it slowly and looking carefully. Its just more grey rock with more snow on it and the distinctive opening has lighting/sparkle/lensflare effect that obscure even that.
anyway, here is an example of what you are looking for from a typical distance.
