Frost Caves

For quite some time I've been afraid (and sort of assuming) that the Frost Caves were going to be something like the Troll Caves in Black Forest. I am really happy to see I was wrong. Great job, devs! Thank you!

They'll be in mountains, but the mountains have to be above a certain minimum height and/or larger than a certain minimum area, and they also have to be more than 500m away from any point you've already explored. Any mountainous areas that are within 500m of a point you've already explored will have been fully drawn in, without caves, and changes to the game don't affect areas that have already been drawn.

Do you have to be carrying Wishbone to find a Frost Cave ? Also do Frost Caves spawn below Obsidion line ( eleyation ) ?

they're pretty high up.. look for a flat spot, like where a mountain tower gets spawned.. there will be an area in front of the entrance that is perfectly flattened out.. you'll know the entrance when you see the big ice stalactites hanging down like fangs..

I've found Frost Caves at the mid level of mountains so they're not always near the top if the mountain is pretty tall. As for wishing for more--exploration/discovery is half the fun. If a mountain was riddled with caves you'd quickly grow tired of them. I like that they're a little sparser and you have to find them. Solid addition to the mountains, enjoyable.

You don't need the Wishbone. Not sure about the elevation question.

Caves are most in obsidian elevation and always in high slopes
Them are a pain to found because now mountains are full of big rocks on slopes making you so hard to see a cave from down and above ( and impossible on blizzards ) , good thing is that problem makes you easier to do the "mountain goat " , before was pretty hard going up in slopes because was near empty of big rocks to stop jumping for recharge stamina
And i found golems and dragons spawn a lot more when you are minning
