Died in my first crypt, can i get my key back?

Died in my first crypt but i had my key on me, will the crypt let me back in to retrieve it?

Once you've unlocked the crypt, it stays unlocked.

Yes, once it is unlocked it is always unlocked, once it is cleared it will always be cleared.

All I ask is during corpse retrieval you wear some sort of armor and not do it naked. ;) Bad things happen on naked corpse runs.

I actually do my corpse runs naked, just buffed up with my best buff food. This way I can just run in, grab my stuff and sprint out in one fell swoop. Being buffed I can take a hit or two, and even if I would die again, I wouldn’t have lost even more equipment.

This has served me well, especially in the swamps.

Yeah, I really only get nervous about naked corpse runs in the Plains, because I find it difficult to reliably evade the Deathsquito menace, and if you get two or three on you, they'll follow you to the ends of the world, and no amount of food health buffs will let you tank more than maybe two bites. Otherwise, I feel like it's best to at least try a naked run first, before risking my backup set of equipment. Even runs into the Mountains, if it's not way up a peak somewhere, can be done naked if you're careful.

Always setup a teleport nearby if you are exploring a dangerous new area!

Same strategy used here. May take just a crude bow and some arrows sometimes.
