missing tombstone?
I notice after a few months of stopping playing after dying that on my return there is no tombstone marker on the map where my death was, i'm still in no skill drain mode. I know exactly where i was and it's no marker.

Did you ping the location? I pinged the boss location in my game today and the location marker disappeared after.

It is possible to turn those markers off by clicking on the skull on the right side of the map.

I had this problem after H&H. It was caused by the NoDeathPenalty mod.

meh if you got wronged by your loot disappearing just turn console on and spawn your items back in. no harm no foul, as long as you already had it before and you know you are at the right spot who cares it is your game. get your stuff back

Recently I lost a Draugr Fang Bow, a few days after I made it. I made it for a backup bow in case I died and I hung it on an item display. I destroyed the item display while the bow was still hanging on it and it just disappeared. My only option was to use console commands to get it back, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2737598422 .

Maybe version of the world changed during your absence ... If you not want to lose your equipment and if you exactly know, where you died, use the dev command. I suppose in this case it is eligible ... I also used it only one time in the same case ...

so you saying i can just spawn it back at the spot if i know where it's at? i thought i would have to spawn in each individual item which sounds awful. i don't even know what all i had on me at the time..

I have just lost all my stuff as the tombstone has not been generated where I died. Gutted.

There are times, especially in Mountain Biomes, where ones tombstone is not at the location shown on the large map. My son was getting very frustrated, because his tombstone was not at the location shown on his map. I had just ported in and went to help him. After climbing the first hill from our portal tower, I spotted his tombstone right in front of me. He was not even visible to me, when I looked to see how far off he was. Extremely contoured terrain like mountains, can place ones tombstone on the map along way off from where it actually is.

I know this is not always the case, sometimes the game does glitch, but try running in an ever widening spiral if your tombstone is on contoured terrain. There are dev commands to spawn items lost due to game instability in the early access stage. I have had to use it when I lost a Lox Saddle, after placing it on a tamed lox that was glitched.

Thanks for responding - I'll give it a try.
