Too easy and too much resources?
Yo bro, i like the game a lot, but i feel like you understand a biomes the game become a bit too easy.

If you go with fully upgraded gear of the previous zone into a new zone it's not a real challenge. There's also soo much resources in every biomes that you can upgrade quikly to new zone full gear in short time. With full gear that biomes become a joke.

What piss me off is the plentyfull of resources. I enter 10 meter inside black forest and i found 5 copper node. Enought to make all you need. Same if you choose the right swamp and soo on on mountain.

So basically i just explored 5% of the map and i've 100 times the rousource i need to fully upgrade everything.

Could we add some option to increase difficult and reduce resources?

It would be epic if also the AI could get an improvement, when you understand a mob they always do the same thing.

Well, you are obviously correct. The hard part of the game is understanding its mechanics and learning about enemies during the first run, when some troll, abomination or golem can easily kill you. If you compare it to some MMORPG than yes, you dont need a lot of grinding, one evening can easily get you from zero to metal gear which is...about 60% of the game. Another problem is that its fun to play with other gamers but it gets easier as well- one gets food the other copper third brings wood for kilns and boom, you have bronze gear in no time. Even when we played on a server with a lot of people, fractions and pvp there was still more than enough to go around. I got about 1000 iron from single swamp and this is not the limit. How much equipment and how large a base can you build with 1000 iron?

Also rrrraids will make it more interesting, raids are beefed hard, and can happen every 6 minutes i think, you will actually need def walls!! ofc permadeath is a must, that is when a game gets interesting;)
Lol nope , have a % timer of 40 minutes

Sory i was not specific, was late in the night :D i meant about a mod called rrr better raids (also didnt remember the name correct hah), there raids are harder and default settings have a 20% or 25% chance to happen every 6 minutes, i just had 3 raids with time inbetween them just enough to repair the walls, equimpent and i didnt finish sorting the loot, next raid happenes. Before that i didnt have a raid atleast half an hour. Got about 8 greenddwarfs, 2 those from meddows dwarfs, 1 brute and 1 shaman. That is before you kill Elder.

Its a great mod i highly recomend it!*

Oh someone that understand me. I love the game, i buy it on 2 jenuary and i'm on over 220 hours. At first it was great and a bit challenging because i'd to understand it. But now i log in and dunno what to do because i'm not really into fashion buildings.

I really like the base mechanics of the game but i would like if there's option to make it more survival. (i love the long dark game for example)

For example some change i would really like :
Option to scale resources in the game (i play solo)
Option to reduce or remove regrowth (this would force you explore more map and not just go again and again in the same area)
Option to repair stuff using materials (this would force you keep mining)
Add in every advanced recipe the need of previous biomes materials. This would force you stock and return in early biomes where otherwise you'll never come back.

What you just described is that the game is shallow with no content to keep it playing, which is correct. Tons of resources are the least worry when other more meaningful stuff are not there.

Kampfar, you're just complaining that this isn't some other different genre of game that you would have preferred, with a side order of the type of game it actually is being invalid because that's somehow vital to your ego.

Have you considered doing something healthier with your time?

When someone is over 200 hours into the game and you're saying that means the game is too short and has no content...
Probably best if you never buy any other games, pretty much ever, because the number of games that you can throw 200+ hours into before deciding it's time to take a break are fairly few and far between, and games like that for £15 that are still getting bigger? Seriously, just what are peoples expectations? That games should have 1000 hours of utterly unique content in them, minimum, or they're worthless?
Take a reality check, if someone never touches the game again after 200 hours, at £0.075/hour that's good value, not 'shallow with no content'.

Expectations are that the game should have any meaningful content. Why would you play it for 10, 50, 100, 200 hours if there is no value in it? Simple, sometimes it is just multiplayer with other people which is not giving the respect to the game but to your own friends which is not game quality related but simply a friendship.

1)Character progression ---> Leveling that unlocks new things ---> does not exist, you get exp for doing stuff and that's it, no new features upon it.

2) Item progression ---> Grind that makes you wanna come back to the game each day ---> does not exist, repairs do not cost resources, upgrade system is dull just smash more of the same resources and once it's done you can throw the weapon and resources away because next tier lvl 1 weapon is better than max upgraded previous tier.

3) Graphics ---> May be likable in some situations but basically prehistoric, my guy is named ''Potato man'' because they all look like potatoes so obviously no developer time invested in there.

4) Combat ---> If enemy is just slight above or under you there is a great chance you will be swinging in mid air hitting nothing, for example when you start digging holes in the swamp, enemy comes out of nowhere and after 2x hitting the ground with your pick you can't hit the enemy whose feet are basically in front of your face.
If you fall in the water and come out of it you are instantly disarmed (probably the most annoying feature)
Enemy range units use autoaim and they can stagger your bow attack but you can not stagger theirs?
Dig a hole around every boss battle, or just dig a hole for every boss.

5) Building system ---> You don't need a base. Just dig a hole around the spot where you plant few meaningful crops and buildings for crafting and that's it, enemy spawn is fixed and they won't touch your stuff since AI is broken once they see a hole between you and them.

6) Story and end game ---> What story and end game?

These are some most basic things that should be good (at least some of them) if you consider the game to be worth playing. Getting value out of the game by forcing yourself to play with friends, making useless bases to take selfies, being forced to add mods and imaginary rules does not make the game good because it just means you are given nothing by the developers. And after all this time, they added nothing meaningful to the game.

Even a huge game like ark with way too much crap to do and collect, becomes simple once you have 200+ hours played.

Even in the best case scenario as you described, the game still demands a lot of time.... at the end of the day, that is all any survival game is... just a drawn out experience that throws danger at you with requirements for survival.

Not true. If you really play ARK and not being casual, you got cross servers and it is ongoing PVP PVE game, you can not pause and you can get invaded by Chinese all the time. Crafting system in ARK is godlike compared to this game in which it barely exists. You need resources constantly in ark, the most basic to most advanced ones and they never become obsolete, when your base is under siege by mega tribes you learn the value of resource production and stockpile. Upgrades to your base, killing bosses for your character progress are all meaningful, taming and dinosaur multiplying etc.
Only problem with game like ARK are the server lags because of mega bases and too many players on the server because it starts rubber bending and that is super annoying, everything else is good and makes you wanna invest time in game progress even though it is a open sandbox.

This game actually does these things really well.

Perhaps you should try to play a really bad game like Icarus so you see for yourself how much worse all of those things can be.

I get it though... you love this game so much that you want it to be something else.

Valheim isn't ARK. It's not (and could never support) a massive multiplayer war sandbox, it's not Minecraft, it's similar to but not actually Terraria, it's not done yet and it's its own thing that maybe 100k casuals are playing 'wrong' and enjoying because they don't understand your True Meaning of Gamer Christmas or whatever.

You've found the niche you enjoy, go play it. Maybe try some open PvP MMOs like EVE or Black Desert. You're not going to get your personal fix here and that's not a failure of Iron Gate.

It`s the most ZEN like game i know and i love it.

I dont need a big story, i love the graphics (specially with the hd overhaul mod), house building, just to be in there for the mood.

And the biggest point, it´s EA so its possible that it goes even better.

It does, but people enjoy IWBTG and Getting Over It. Games are a wide cavas.

Maybe ''the problem'' is that i don't care to build epic building and just stuck with core wood building. The iron for tool and armor and weapon is not much. I even craft the useless sledgehammer just for fun.
Imo, the "problem", which is not so a problem by the way, is that you aren't interested in exploring, whereas the game has a strong focus on exploration, with such seeded worlds and not much so-called "content" (= main quest = kill all bosses). If one stops exploration as soon as one gets enough materials to upgrade and then go for next boss, I guess that the game doesn't leave the same impression, indeed. If one likes exploring, then having not enough, or too much resource on D day is not a problem.
