Seriously in the past 2 nights i've discovered and systematically raided 4 fuling villages, each of which had well over a dozen of the bastards including berzerkers. All i got was blackmetal, which at this point is as rare as wood to me, and barley.
Uh, why didn’t you plant the flax to grow an infinite amount of it???? Seems like a huge waste to burn all the flax you got from a village on thread, instead of farming it for infinite linen thread.
It's pretty obvious why i didn't do that. Because i am an idiot. Never even occurred to me to try planting it. Where were you earlier, you *******! Now that i think about it more, this is really YOU'RE fault!
However, i'm not one to hold a grudge, so, gimme a couple stacks of flax(cool band name) and all is forgiven. Let's all just admit that you screwed up and i did nothing wrong, give me free stuff, and we can all grow as a people.
Seriously, what is wrong with you Nascarman? It's all your fault lol.
Yeah, next time you get your hands on even one flax, be sure to plant it (pretty sure it must be grown in the plains biome unless something has changed). For each flax you plant, you'll get two at harvest.
Also, yeah, **** you Nascarman
Lol, yeah plant barley too if you want the best foods in the game. Be sure to make all upgrades for the cauldron and the stone oven. Keep in mind that both flax and barley will only grow in the plains. So, it's best to make at least a satellite base for a farm there.
Poor Nascarman. If he only thought to tell you sooner. Not sure why he waited so long to release that information.
Also, I'd like to be able to plant berries.
It doesn't let you sit on your ass and just win. You have to work through the different biomes, and each of them plays differently.
Plains is a slaughter field at first. Forcing you to build a farm there makes you prepare a lot, and also makes you use the "no enemies spawn on a base" mechanic to keep it safe.
In our second playthrough I found a relatively small batch of plains separated from the rest of it by a deep river. I walled it off entirely, and built like 50 overlapping worbenches to stop spawns. In the end it became a pretty good farm, with 800+ flax harvested in one go.
