wiull the yule tree disappear from being able to create, or is it here to stay? i was curious because i wanted to know if i needed to hurry up to build my next base to put it up if its going to be gone from the crafting list.

Hard to tell...the maypole was only for a limited time

I think it might be seasonal, at a guess. They made the Maypole craftable for about a month last time, only way to have one is build around or near one or use dev commands.

I crafted a Maypole last night, Yule tree and the little xmas presents were still there too.

The modern tree tradition started in Renaissance Germany but the general idea of presenting an evergreen to celebrate the birth of a new year predates the church in many places, not least Scandinavia.

It's not a Christian tradition, it's something they absorbed.
