Stuck

So, I died went to my spawn point and got stuck and i cant tear a wall down because I have no wood to make a hammer . Any suggestions how to fix this?

If you literally enclosed your spawn bed in a wooden box with no exit and are now trapped inside, then try punching a wall until it breaks.

worst case, make a new world, make a hammer, and go back.

Obviously not! I made a quick roof over a workbench not paying attention to wear i put it. I did finally get out!!

Yeah, the devs need to fix this.. If you place a bed in a 1 story building you get stuck when you spawn.. no way to get out of it.. My whole game is ruined.. Im on day 74 and cannot get unstuck.. Pretty stupid on the devs part.. Wouldn't that be something they would think of or test before releasing it to store? Pretty wack... It's a game breaking bug for sure..

I saw this before and a way to get out of it is to use devcommands (goto <coordinates>) and set your position a little higher than what it is currently.

Ok so I figured out how to get unstuck.. there is a reset spawn command takes you all the way back to the start but it works at least.

Why is there only one spawn point anywhay? Its super lame you cannot have multiple beds.. It makes no sense.. I have to make a bunch of camps just so when I explore I can have a nearby bed to save at.. You should be able to build a small tent without a workbench for a spawn point..

Press Enter to bring up the chat box and it'll show you a small list of commands in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Im like 300 hours in on my 1st playthrough, and i spawned stuck. punched a few boards, but still stuck as ♥♥♥♥. cant touch bed or board over my head to destroy with punches.

Enable the console by adding -console to launch options in library.
In game, press F5 to open console.
Type "devcommands" without the quotes and enter.
Type goto x,y where x and y are safe coordinates.

Edit: the pos command will show your current coordinates.

Log that same character in to a different map, make a hammer and come back. Then you can deconstruct things.
