Well you know where I live we mostly use birch to grill meat. Yeah, in game you get both wood and fine wood, but you cant use fine wood to burn some fire. And I think mighty viking wont die of some toxins on the open trying to warm himself by the fire burning some core wood. So I dont know if its very realistic
this would generate much more toxin than normal campfire
Like.. if the different wood made the fires do different stuff.. dif colors or more sparks / crackling sure.
edit: the different colors is a good idea, maybe something for the mistlands and marches
Dont see why they cant enable this. Regular wood lasts forever already tho. I actually only ever put 1 in so it goes out. Sometimes that lighting difference is neat.. plus tossing another log on is comft af

In real life, sappy pine burns best and smells amazing. There aren't any more toxins in it's smoke that produce a significantly greater risk than smoke from other wood either.
