Yes, wind affects arrows, so does gravity.
How the hell do I know the wind direction.. I can only guess when you see those gusts..
Have to agree, I thought the wind was a major factor until I got used to the aim point for the bow. It doesn't seem to matter at all. Some websites claim the wind affects arrows but the wiki says the wind does two things and neither of them involve arrows. Stronger bows and a higher skill seem to make archery far easier, and you do have to compensate for the aim point and drop due to gravity. You also have to take into account the elevation. Shooting down at something means you have to aim much lower, and up at something much higher.
Death skeeters are pretty small and fairly quick so they can be tough to hit. Probably better off blocking and one shotting them from close range if you can't hit them with a bow. It could simply be your skill or fatigue as jynx mentioned. I know I tend to mess up more shots if I've been playing for a while.
I guess anyone could could jump into the game and test fire a few shots with a crosswind since that's where you'd see the most obvious effect of wind on the arrows, if it has any.
Edit: Just jumped in to the game to test. Firing with the wind blowing from my left to my right at about 90 degrees. The arrow actually hits slightly left of my aim point, which has been exactly how this particular bow behaves all the time. It should have been pushed to the right because of the wind direction. I tested again firing with the wind and the arrow hits slightly left of my aim point. The wind does not seem to affect my arrows.
I've *never* seen it go to one side when I'm aiming.
quality of the bow
skill in bows
length of the pull
They should add a wind indicator in that case, otherwise you're just guessing where your arrow is going to hit.
i don't believe they actually do..
There is an issue with the aiming, specialy at close distance, that is sligthly Off center to the left.
But thats because of the camera angle and perspective, and the placement of the camera even at max Zoom in doesn't help( its always above your head AND shoulder, so you actually have to aim lower the closer the target is once under the 20m distance)
