May Poles Stop Invasions?!?!?!? (Update: NO. NO THEY DO NOT LOL :p

I did an experiment:

My main farm normally gets an invasion from giants or the swamp every 2-4 days.

So I put a maypole in by the entrance and also within the radius of the ward around the central house.

30 game days and not a single invasion occurred. I was building and planting and running around for days un-inhibited.

Removed the maypole and 2 days later giants.

Gonna test it again to double confirm, but I think a structure with a Maypole is rendered safe from invasions. Or, maybe a combo of the Maypole + ward and/or XMas tree.


UPDATE: NEVERMIND. NO THEY DO NOT :p

invasions are super random tho, you may not have one in like 30 in game days and sometimes you get one every single day, maybe its just bad luck. Also afaik the only places you dont get invasions is on the mountain and swamp biomes.

My tiny shack/portal in the swamp got invaded once.

I don't even have the BP and/or ingredients to make a maypole. How did you get it?

You only get invaded if sit at the base at night.

If you are out you won't be invaded.

You can’t make it without using console commands to spawn one in.

You can put a troll head trophy on the fence. It stops troll invasions. I tried it and it works.
i barely get invasions otherwise. Seems like every 20 days

really going to try that since I jave a lot fo troll heads. The skulls nope.

UPDATE: Guess it was just luck. Just now had a troll invasion.

Troll heads decorate the doorway to my crafting building. The MayPole I placed outside my front door.

So nevermind. Invasions still happen. Just had a month of luck I guess

I used a console command to test this theory. May Poles increase your comfort by +1. Looks like that is it as I just now had a troll invasion.

So was just blind luck of me going so long without an invasion

there are numerous raids that can spawn in swamp
and there is one in the mountains too (second mountains raid is not implemented yet)
