SOLVED : Eikthyr Does Not Drop Pickaxe Recipe

First Boss is dropping Hard Antlers but won't drop Antler Pickaxe Recipe
So far I've tried - multiple characters
- multiple seeds
- multiple characters in multiple seeds
- verifying files in steam
- uninstalling, scrubbing, reinstalling, verifying then fresh character in fresh seed

Anyone had this problem and successfully dealt with it?
If not, what extra info should I provide?

TBH I'm quite enjoying the game without the pickaxe! But I need the pickaxe.

MY FIX - a full uninstall of the game, find and delete ALL left over folders and files then a registry cleanup with something like Ccleaner, then restart the computer, do a nice clean install, verify all files with steam, restart computer again, play game with a fresh character and a fresh seed and then ONLY use that pair, kill first boss, and finally unlocked the pickaxe recipe. It was a pain but it ended up working properly within my own game.

The recipe should just unlock once you acquire the antlers, and be available for crafting in the workbench.

Do you have any mods that might be the culprit?

Go to your Workbench with 10 wood and the antler, and take a look at what you are now able to craft.
Please post a screenshot of it showing no recipe if that is the case... or have you been mistakenly going to your Forge?

Recipes in this game are not dropped, they appear directly in your workbench once you gathered components for them once.

To answer all 3 questions - is not appearing as a craftable item at a level 3 Workbench while holding Hard Antler and 10 Wood after each character has defeated Eikthyr on a Vanilla install

Also, the announcement that "Pickaxe Has Been Learned" is missing during Eikthyr's defeat. It should pop up on top right according to videos I've seen.

Yes it shold appear as soon as you gather one hard antler, this is a weird bug never saw that before.

Try to jump in an open server with the mats and see if you can craft one there? A lvl 1 worbench should be enough.

Some kind of mod conflict? I've heard that some mods can break recipes...

Could console command one in for now, have you tried scrolling on the crafting menu at the bench? Silly question but for a moment I once thought I couldn't craft leather armor because I had to scroll up to the recipe lol.

just spawn it via the console....

its the only item in game that uses the hard antlers in a recipe. hopefully your bronze pick axe recipe will pop up normally when u get to it.
