How to kill boar?

Hey, after update we started new server and new chars with friends, I made a pig-farm and now i can not kill them.. They are like Friendly-fire off. How can I reduce their population now?

For tamed animals you need to use Butcher's knife.
Believe you obtain it with copper/tin/bronze.

I've heard you can also enable pvp to kill them, but I never tried myself.

You get it with tin.

Hit Tab
Upper right corner are two swords standing next to each other.
Click on sword icon
Two swords will be crossed and PVP enabled
Kill boars
Turning PVP off may take a few seconds, need to wait for the icon to light up before you can change it.

I almost always forgot to turn off PvP after slaughtering boars, so it was decided that making the butcher's knife was a good idea.

Don't make the same mistake if you choose the PvP toggle option. :D

knife also has high attack rate and does not damage walls or other structures around the tames

toggle pvp if you dont have one, just be sure to turn it off again when done murdering your tames

It's not possible to "murder" an animal, either in a game or in real life as it is a legal term.

Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse, especially the unlawful killing of another human with malice aforethought.

The proper term would be kill, not murder. Cull might be appropriate, but that is more commonly used for weak, sick or inferior animals, in this context.
